In short

Some countries ask for a rabies antibody titre and a waiting period after vaccination. That can take weeks or longer — “we fly tomorrow” is often too late.
Official rules versus clinic prep
Confirm exit rules and the destination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the destination’s official agriculture or food authority. The clinic can place a chip, vaccinate and tidy documents; it cannot guarantee a border officer’s decision.
Some routes want an extra health certificate, vaccine or parasite treatment. Which of those apply to your trip depends on the date — this page does not freeze a template.
Airlines are a separate rulebook
Cabin versus hold, breed, weight and heat limits belong to the carrier. A country may admit the pet while the airline refuses. Read the airline pet policy before you buy the ticket.
Why start early
Lab titre time, vaccine intervals and clinic slots stack. Domestic ferry and car notes are in holiday travel; that page is not a customs file.
