External parasites in cats
Indoor living is not automatic protection. Fleas can breed indoors; ticks and mites are different problems. Prevention is individual — never use a dog product on a cat.

In short
External parasites live on skin, coat or in the ear. In cats the usual discussion is fleas, ticks and ear mites. Gut parasites are separate: internal parasites in cats.
Itch, hair loss, scabs, “flea dirt” at the tail base or head-shaking can be clues. There may be no obvious signs — parting the coat still helps.
Fleas, ticks, mites
Fleas can continue their cycle in furniture. One bath is not enough; the home and other pets matter.
Ticks are often noticed after gardens or contact with other animals. Do not use oil, flame or crushing. If mouthparts remain, do not dig — show the clinic.
Ear mites come up with head-shaking, dark debris and itch. Not every dirty ear is mites; do not pick ear drops at random.
Can indoor cats get them?
Yes. Fleas can arrive on clothing, a visiting pet or a balcony. Indoor life lowers risk; it does not make it zero.
Bodrum gardens and summer tick pressure sit in ticks and parasites in Bodrum. That page is local and seasonal; this one is general cat information.
Why is the product individual?
Age, weight, pregnancy, skin disease and outdoor access change the plan. ESCCAP notes regional risk; the product belongs to the veterinarian.
Some dog spot-ons can severely poison cats. “It worked on the dog” is not a reason. Human lice products and leftover boxes are not used either.
When to book
Heavy itch, open sores, lethargy, poor appetite, an attached tick or a change in breathing or behaviour should not wait. Kittens and seniors get a shorter fuse.
