The lab does not replace a physical exam; it clarifies a suspicion or helps monitor treatment. At Turgutreis Pawspital we discuss tests when they are useful — not a full panel on every visit.
When tests are suggested
Appetite loss, vomiting, extra thirst, lethargy, pre-surgical checks or senior monitoring are common reasons. The veterinarian explains which sample (blood, urine and so on) is useful.
Results are explained in plain language. Reading printouts alone online is less safe than reviewing them together.
Preparation
Some tests need fasting; others do not. We tell you when confirming the slot. Ask whether water should stop too.
Bring prior lab printouts or send photos — it can avoid repeating a test.
Booking

Frequently asked questions
- Are results same-day?
- It depends on the test. Some return promptly on site; others go to an external lab. We give a timing when the sample is taken.
- Should my pet fast?
- Not for every test. Follow instructions we gave you; if unsure, ask before the appointment.
- Is there a public price list?
- We do not publish one because panels vary. We quote once the need is clear.
