Spay and neuter are surgical decisions — there is no single month for every pet. Age, sex, season and general health are assessed at the exam. At Turgutreis Pawspital we explain the day, fasting and home care in advance.
When to discuss it
Many families ask during the puppy or kitten vaccine course. Early versus later timing depends on the individual; a date you read online may not fit your pet.

On the day
Fasting time, water and morning medication are confirmed for your pet. Bring a carrier or leash and keep your phone on.
After discharge we explain the collar, rest and suture checks. Message us during hours if swelling, appetite loss or licking is not settling.

Phone or WhatsApp. Summer days can fill — write ahead if you can. The clinic is open 09:00 – 23:00 daily; the procedure slot is scheduled separately.

- The veterinarian decides case by case. This page does not give a yes/no; it is discussed at the exam.
- Do they go home the same day?
- Most spay/neuter cases are planned as day procedures, but recovery is monitored. You will get a clear update that day.
