Internal medicine is calm, stepwise care for digestive, respiratory, urinary and metabolic signs. At Turgutreis Pawspital the exam comes first; lab work or imaging is discussed only if useful.
Common reasons to come in
Vomiting, diarrhoea, appetite loss, coughing, extra thirst, urination changes or lethargy may fall under internal medicine. Do not wait out changes that last several days.

How follow-up works
The veterinarian tells you what to watch at home and when to message again. Do not start a new drug or diet on your own.
In seniors, small changes add up. Annual checks and lab work when needed can be part of internal-medicine monitoring.
Urgent or scheduled?
Breathing difficulty, collapse, repeated vomiting, bloody stool or a swollen abdomen should feel urgent — call first. Slower signs can wait for a booked slot. Open every day 09:00 – 23:00.

- It depends on the exam. We do not push products; we explain the reason.
- Does summer heat matter?
- Heatstroke and dehydration risk rises. Shade, water and never leaving pets in cars are critical. Do not wait on severe signs — see our emergency page too.
